Common questions

How do I delete my account?
In Beanut, open the menu (•••) → Delete account, and tap again to confirm. Your account, memory, conversation, connections and scheduled tasks are removed. If you signed in with Apple, Beanut's access to your Apple ID is revoked too. Can't open the app? See Delete your account.

How do I let Beanut see my calendar or contacts?
Menu → Calendar → Use iPhone Calendar (Phone Calendar on Android), or Menu → Contacts → Allow all contacts (or Choose from Contacts). Your phone asks first. To stop, disconnect in the same place, or turn access off in Settings → Beanut (Android: Settings → Apps → Beanut → Permissions).

I'm not getting notifications.
Menu → Notifications should say On. If your phone was told no, turn them on in Settings → Beanut → Notifications (Android: Settings → Apps → Beanut → Notifications).

Beanut says I've used today's messages.
Each account has a daily allowance, which resets at midnight UTC.

Can Beanut send messages or pay for things for me?
No. Beanut drafts WhatsApp messages and opens WhatsApp with the text filled in; you press send. It never books, pays or buys.
