Terms of Use

Beanut · Effective 26 September 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of Beanut ("we"). By creating an account or using Beanut you agree to them and to the Privacy Policy.

What Beanut is

Beanut is a personal assistant. It answers questions, reads links and files you share, searches the web, checks your calendar, remembers what you ask it to, and does tasks you schedule. Its replies are written by an AI service (Google's Gemini API).

AI can be wrong

Beanut's answers can be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Check anything important yourself. Beanut is not medical, legal, financial or other professional advice, and is not for emergencies.

You stay in control

Beanut never sends a message for you: for WhatsApp it opens the app with the message written, and you decide whether to send it. Anything that can't be undone asks for your "yes" first, and a scheduled task that would need one stops and tells you instead. Scheduled tasks and notifications are best effort; don't rely on them for anything critical.

Your account

Acceptable use

Don't use Beanut to break the law; to harass, threaten or harm anyone; to send spam; to infringe others' rights; to share content you have no right to share; or to try to break, overload, reverse engineer or get around the limits of the service. We may suspend or close accounts that do.

Your content

What you send and what Beanut writes for you are yours. You give us permission to process it only to run Beanut for you, as described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for having the right to share what you send, including other people's contact details.

Price

Beanut is free. If we add paid features later, they will be offered through the App Store, with the price shown before you pay.

Changes and availability

We may change, pause or stop Beanut or parts of it. If we change these terms materially, we will tell you in the app or by email before the changes apply.

Disclaimers and liability

Beanut is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on Beanut's answers. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that the law says cannot be limited.

If you downloaded Beanut from Google Play

These terms are between you and us, not Google. Google Play's own terms also apply to your use of the store.
